Vintage Slipware Terracotta Jug - North Devon

A pair of authentic vintage North Devon terracotta jugs, each bearing the hallmarks of traditional English pottery craftsmanship. The smaller piece is characteristic of Brannam ware from Barnstaple, whilst the taller example reflects the distinctive style of Fremington pottery. Both feature the signature cream slipware rims that define this regional ceramic tradition.

Each Vintage Slipware Terracotta Jug measures:

• Small - 15cm tall, 15cm wide, 12cm diameter
• Tall - 25cm tall, 21cm wide, 18cm diameter

Both are in good vintage condition, showing no cracks or nibbles. There is a slight crazing in the glaze of the taller one, and the smaller one has a little wear on the rim in the glaze but this appears to have happened in the firing process.
