Antique Mahogany Bow Front Chest of Drawers

This lovely early 19th-century mahogany chest with graceful bow-front styling features two short drawers over three long drawers, each adorned with original turned wooden knobs and brass escutcheons. The piece stands elegantly on splayed feet, a hallmark of period craftsmanship.

I love this remarkable detail: the interior of each drawer is lined with newspaper dated 1833, preserving a fragment of history within its functional storage. The patina and wear speak to generations of use, adding authentic character.

Versatile and striking—equally at home as a bedroom dresser, hallway accent, or living room focal point. A substantial investment for collectors and those seeking genuine period furniture with provenance and presence.

This Antique Mahogany Bow Front Chest of Drawers measures:

• 105cm / 3'6" wide
• 53cm / 21"  deep
• 103cm / 3'5" tall

Vintage touches:

This chest of drawers shows signs of its extensive usage over the years, the feet have had some repairs but are sturdy and have plenty more years of use. The original key has been lost at some point in its long life but this does not detract from its beauty and character.

If that sounds workable, get in touch and I’ll confirm the precise delivery cost for you.

Please note, that if paying with SHOP PAY it may appear that the cost of delivery is £4.95. This is not the case, but is an issue with this particular payment option.
