1L Burgundy Chalk Paint

This deep, rich red 1L Burgundy Chalk Paint will bring a sophisticated look to any item you paint it with, and there is no need to sand or prime first.

Like many of Annie Sloan's colours, this rich Burgundy Chalk Paint is inspired by the decor of times past, in this case Annie has taken the colours used on the walls in Pompeii as her muse.  Red was a pigment easily found in soils and is often seen as the perfect choice for gilding or darkening with dark wax.

Picture this velvety red in a room with earthy tones of greens and umber, adding a warm and cosy touch.

• Don’t forget to finish with lashings of Clear Wax or alternatively Chalk Paint Lacquer in Matt or Gloss to protect your masterpiece.
• I use the Chalk Paint Bristle Brush for my pieces of furniture, this allows me to build up colour quickly, and will give me a textured finish if I am wanting it.
• Alternatively, use one of Annie Sloan Flat Brushes for a smoother, contemporary finish.
• 1 litre is enough to cover approximately 13 square metres.
