This striking Georgian-era mahogany chest brings together timeless elegance and practical storage in a way that feels both refined and quietly substantial. Dating from the early 19th century, it’s a classic country-made piece with all the character and proportions you’d hope to find.

The chest features a traditional two-over-three drawer formation, with solid mahogany drawer fronts set within an oak carcase (the outer sides), and each drawer finished with simple turned wooden knobs. The top is solid mahogany with a beautifully reeded edge, while the bracket feet give it a grounded, balanced presence.

The rich, warm tone of the mahogany grain adds depth and softness, making it an easy piece to place—whether in a bedroom, hallway, or as a characterful sideboard in a living space.

Vintage touches:

In good condition for its age (c1800), this fabulous mahogany chest is in good vintage condition. There are some old well made repairs on the top - not recent and have some age. The bottom drawers has had replacement handles in keeping with the rest of the piece.

Delivery is not included.

Local delivery typically begins at £30.
For longer distances, I use a trusted courier who has safely delivered my furniture for several years. His care and attention mean items arrive exactly as they leave me. Long‑distance deliveries are usually between £110–£150, depending on where you are. He works alone, so help will be needed at your end.
