Explore New Techniques with Our Creative Chalk Paint Workshop
If you’re looking to go beyond the basics and try something with a little more flair, my next half-day workshop might be just the thing. We’ll be diving into three decorative chalk paint techniques that bring texture, depth and vintage charm to your projects. These techniques are ones that I am asked the most about, so here is your chance to have a go!
Held in my North Devon shop – proudly recognised as an Annie Sloan Flagship Store – this relaxed, small-group session is designed to give you the space to play and explore, with plenty of individual help along the way. As one of the best Annie Sloan stockists in the world, Flagship Stores like mine embody the values, style and spirit of the Annie Sloan brand, so you can expect expert guidance in a truly inspiring setting.
You'll have the chance to explore:
🎨 Blended Colour Effects – Learn how to create soft, seamless transitions between shades for an ombré look that adds real depth and drama to painted pieces.

🧂 Create a Chippy, Timeworn Finish – Using a homemade saltwash mix, I’ll show you how to build layers and texture for that perfectly imperfect, weathered look reminiscent of sun-faded paint.

✨ Apply & Distress Gold Leaf – Add a touch of aged charm with gold leaf, and learn how to distress it for a finish that’s much more antique than glitzy.

Rather than working on furniture, we’ll practise these techniques on sample boards. This gives you the freedom to experiment, ask questions and build confidence without the pressure of a finished item. Plus, in a small group setting, there’ll be plenty of time for tailored guidance and one-to-one advice.
All materials, tools and aprons are included at this creative chalk paint workshop– just bring your curiosity and come ready to play with paint!
