Vintage Touches

This antique storage trunk, has seen some age-related wear and tear which is to be expected considering its intended use. Its clasps are no longer working and the centre one is missing, however this does not affect it opening and closing. The paper covering the exterior wood panels has some tears and marks on it. The lining paper in the interior is well worn  but has no major flaws. There would have been a paper/card envelope section on the interior of the lid, of which only the flap remains. The two straps which stop the lid falling back appear to be replacements. There is an old Daily Mail newspaper dated 1957 which I have left inside. All in all a truly interesting piece which is full of vintage appeal.
